Pass by endangered species like Cape buffalo, springbok, and blue wildebeest, learning how Safari West supports wildlife conservation. Meet at the starting point
From San Francisco (North on HWY 101): Take the River Road exit, then turn right onto Mark West Springs Road toward Calistoga. Continue for about 7 miles, where Mark West Springs Road becomes Porter Creek Road at the Lodge. Continue approximately 1.25 miles to Franz Valley Road and turn left into Safari West's entrance.
From Sacramento (West on I-80): Take U.S. 80 West to HWY 12 Napa exit, then follow HWY 29 toward Napa and Calistoga. At Rutherford, HWY 128 joins HWY 29. Continue past Calistoga for about 1 mile, then turn left on Petrified Forest Road toward Santa Rosa. After 4.5 miles, turn right on Porter Creek Road and proceed 3 miles to Franz Valley Road, where you turn right into Safari West.
The Santa Rosa Airport is just 10 minutes away for those flying in.
